Preschool classes are kept small so that they can still be hands-on! Each child will have their own workspace complete with all supplies we need to create our recipe. They will have an apron, cutting mat, and kid safe chef knife. We practice chopping and measuring skills, and we encourage the kids to try at least one bite of everything that we make just in case their taste buds have changed since the last time they tried something! :) We really encourage creativity! There will be a brief nutrition lesson or activity, we will make our snack, then play a game or dance video. The kiddos get to eat their creation! For preschool, we focus a lot of fruit and vegetables and snacks that they could make without a lot of help! The goal is to inspire them to try new food and stay open to a healthy living style, by getting them excited to create food! They are usually pretty proud about what they make. After each class parents receive an email about what we did in class along with the recipe and pictures!
