Our homeschool cooking club will meet monthly and will give students a chance to get familiar in the kitchen. Each class will be completely hands on cooking! Students will also be eating what they make!

We had a very successful club last school year and because we had many inquires about registration, and we look forward to another fun year!

Each class will cover different methods of cooking and give students a chance to use many kitchen tools, gadgets, and appliances. Students will also learn safe knife cutting skills. You can start your child out with whichever knife you feel comfortable with. We like to teach students unique twists on cooking. We will also go over healthy eating choices and how to make healthy substitutions for certain junk food.

All classes are drop off style so that your child can have practice learning skills amongst peers! Don't worry, no experience is necessary and we work with each child at their experience level! Additional family members will not be allowed to stay in the building. The space isn't set up to accomodate the extra people and noise.

We recommend hanging out down the sidewalk at Well Grounded Cafe where they have a room with a lot of tables, wifi, and delicious coffee and food!

Minimum Enrollment Requirement:

All classes and clubs must meet the minimum enrollment requirement to run. If this club does not meet the requirement, you will be notified and given a full refund. *You agree to not fault WRC for a class/club/camp that does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement.

Allergies:

It is your responsibility to let us know about any food allergies during registration. We happily accommodate allergies in many classes! We will not be able to alter a recipe if your child tells us the day of a class they are not allowed to have something. We have to know this in advance so that we can try out the recipe variation, and have the alternative ingredients at the kitchen.

Refunds:

All clubs and classes must meet a minimum enrollment requirement to run!

Camps/Clubs are REFUNDABLE  up to 21 days before the first day. A 50% refund will be given for any cancellations less than 21 days in advance and 1 day before the first start date. Beginning on the first date of camp/club, there are no refunds. Please note that your child’s spot prevents others from enrolling, and WRC makes purchases in advance for camps/clubs based on the number of enrolled students. A full refund will not be given for any reason if the cancellation is less than 21 days before the start of the first date of the camp/club. If your child misses one of the dates, refunds are not given. By purchasing the camp/club, you are committing to all the dates. We will count on your child being there so we will make purchases and staff the dates accordingly. Students get sick from time to time and we understand when that happens, but we are unable to refund you for that day.

A note on cost:

Please note the club for '23/24 has 2 additional dates than the previous year.

These classes are 2 hours in length. Our regular classes last 1.5 hours and cost $40.

Students eat a large snack/meal each class.

The cost of groceries and supplies have increased and we work hard to keep the cost down.

We understand the club is not a commitment that all families can make. Cooking classes are not comparable to other classes or activities that do not require a large amount of food and cooking supplies. Thank you for understanding and your support!
